The overall environmental objectives of McMahon Services are defined within our Sustainable Development Policy; furthermore our strategy on environmental management is incorporated in our Charter, stating we have a ‘total commitment to environmental solutions’.
McMahon Services conducts its wide range of business functions throughout Australia, operating in a diverse range of environmental ecosystems. We acknowledge, by the nature of the works that we do, that there is a potential for us to impact on the environment in which we operate. We believe, however, with the determination and dedication of our people, the proactive management approach and our Environmental Policies and Procedures in place we are able to conduct our business with ‘Zero Harm’ to the immediate and greater environment.
Evidence of McMahon Services’ dedication to our ‘Zero Harm’ philosophy, is that Environmental Management procedures are incorporated into our Business Management System, as they are paramount in our Management Standards. To verify to our clients our continual commitment to the environment through a management system which is best practice and internationally recognised, McMahon Services maintain third party certification to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004.
Our Environmental Management Procedure details environmental controls, from the tender and review process, appropriate training and development of personnel, through risk management procedures whilst on site to auditing, incident management and emergency response.
